Recipe Share - Korean Beef In The Crock Pot - A Pinterist Success Story

Honestly, most of the recipes I try from Pinterest are epic failures.  Last week, I tried a Korean Beef recipe that used ground beef.  It wasn't quite a "fail" but it was unimpressive.  I decided to try again when I saw that my local store had chuck roasts on sale.

OMG - this recipe was easy and so fricking good!  I served it the first night with jasmine rice and broccoli.  The second night, I made stir fried veggies, added some of the left over meat and sauce, and mixed in some Top Ramen Noodles (cooked and drained - no seasoning packet).  We still have more roast left, and I haven't decided if I'm going to freeze it, or just eat the rest for lunch and dinner tomorrow as husband will be visiting at a friend's home.

The only thing I did differently was to sear the roast before I put it in the crock pot.  Also, I did not have any sesame oil on hand, so I just used regular vegetable oil in which I had toasted some sesame seeds.

This will be a regular menu feature every month in my house.  I might even invite guests over - and that is saying something because I DON'T entertain!
